However, this site is not going to fill itself with content, so in the end, I decided that I wouldn't lose anything if I scratched it, not to mention that this game became one of my favorites after I played it.
Also, there are only a few days left until the release of the next Zelda game, namely Tears of the Kingdom, and I had a choice - either to sit down and write a review now or never.
It is difficult for me to even start with the review. I can say so many things about the game, and yet I don't want it to become too long and burdensome.
I am not a fan of Nintendo, and if you have gone through the "About Me" page, you will know that I don't even have their console.
Still, I decided to give the game a chance, and I had to do it considering all the superlatives written about it and the fact that it is in the top of all rankings for the greatest games ever created.
Shortly after starting the game, a magnificent and epic view of the world of Hyrule will unfold before you. Not only does it look truly magnificent, but I was left speechless when I realized that every single point in this world can be visited.

And it's huge
And despite its size, Nintendo has managed to fill it with content and bring it to life, so you never get bored at any moment. This is achieved by sprinkling various puzzles and side missions in almost every corner of the world. Often while exploring and admiring the views, you can come across an NPC that asks you to complete a task for them.
Throughout the map, there are also the so-called Shrines. These are objects that usually contain puzzles to solve, numbering over 100. Passing them gives you additional bonuses such as life, endurance, or items.
The other thing that impressed me extremely positively is the many diverse locations. You have forests, deserts, water and other types, which not only look great on their own, but also offer different experiences in terms of gameplay.

Of course, like any other game, here you have a main storyline to follow. The interesting thing, however, is that nothing stops you from not doing it. From the very beginning, you can go and fight one of the final bosses. The question is whether you will succeed in defeating them and whether it makes any sense to do so.
The freedom that the game provides is great, but on the other hand, it can be quite demotivating for a large part of gamers who are used to something holding their hand and directing them on what to do and when. That's why at the beginning it may seem a bit more difficult, but if you manage to get past the turning point, satisfaction is guaranteed!
Now let me throw in a few words about the different aspects of the game, starting with its :
Story
Regarding the story in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there isn't much to say. Mostly because it's entirely possible that someone reading this review hasn't played the game yet and intends to do so, so let's move on to:
Gameplay
Here we don't have anything particularly innovative. Similar to many other ARPG games, after killing monsters, completing various missions, etc., we receive weapons and equipment in general. Over time, they become better, giving us more bonuses and preparing us for stronger bosses. We can prepare different foods and potions, and depending on the ingredients, we receive different temporary bonuses.
There are several ways to move around in the game, with the most common being flying with your paraglider or riding a horse. There are other ways, but I'll leave you to discover them on your own. :)
While friendly NPCs are relatively passive, enemy units are often very inventive and not always predictable. I would say the artificial intelligence is at a very high level, and often you have to be creative to succeed in a given situation.
The thing that annoys many players (it wasn't a big problem for me) is that the weapons and shields we use in the game break. Therefore, we constantly have to search for new ones or change them according to the situation.

Audio
Now, the truth is that the audio in the game is not one of my favorites. Therefore, I didn't give it the necessary attention. It wasn't what won me over to the game.
We have the standard Nintendo beep sounds when we do something in the menus. There is no voice acting for the NPCs in the game except for a few cutscenes.
Although the audio is not something amazing for me, it certainly does not bother me, and I think it works perfectly for the game.
Graphics
Many of you know that the Nintendo Switch console has very weak specifications. It is often compared to a smartphone, and one that came out years ago.
In this case, we cannot expect the graphics to be like those in AAA titles. Textures are of low quality, and many objects and vegetation are only displayed when we are in close proximity to them.
And yet, taking all this into account, I can personally say with a clear conscience that the game looks phenomenal. Looking at the big picture, and not some small details, you can often be left breathless by what is happening before your eyes. Everything is so well drawn, the whole world in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild feels so alive, that you can easily forget what device you are actually playing on.

In the end, my rating for the game is 9.5 out of 10.
I rarely give a game or a movie a score of 10 out of 10.
To do so, it has to be perfect in my eyes, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is very close to being so.
The only negative things, or rather things that I missed, are:
- The ability to adjust the difficulty. While the game is not one of the easiest to get into, the monsters and bosses we fight are not particularly challenging. It would have been cool if we could raise the difficulty so that even the most hardcore gamers would struggle to get through.
- More variety in bosses and enemy monsters. Not that I'm complaining, there is actually quite a bit of variety, it's just that as I already mentioned, the world in the game is huge, which is why Nintendo has often reused existing monsters from other places, with slight changes to their color or model.
We are eagerly awaiting the new Zelda, and the impressions from the trailers at this stage are extremely good, and the new improvements look quite interesting.
I hope you liked my review. See you soon.
