Capcom's Pragmata Goes Gold Ahead of April Launch

Published on 01 April, 2026

Capcom has officially confirmed that its upcoming sci-fi title, Pragmata, has gone gold. This milestone indicates that development on the primary build of the game is complete, setting the stage for its scheduled release on April 17th.

Originally announced in 2020, the game has spent years in development as the studio refined its gameplay mechanics. The development team expressed gratitude for player patience and support, celebrating the occasion with an image featuring the developers alongside the game's protagonists.

Gameplay and Setting

Pragmata is set within a lunar research station overrun by hostile robots following a mysterious seismic event. The gameplay loop requires players to manage two characters simultaneously. Hugh serves as the combat specialist, utilizing shotguns and tools to evade threats, while the android Diana focuses on hacking enemies to reveal their weak points. This mechanic blends third-person shooting action with maze-like puzzle elements.

Players can upgrade their abilities through various hacking modules and visit a safe zone known as the Shelter for further enhancements.

Release Details

In a positive turn for fans, Capcom has moved the release date forward by one week from the initially planned April 24th. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. A free standalone demo is currently available and has already achieved over two million downloads, allowing players to experience the unique mechanics before launch.
