CI Games raises funding for Lords of the Fallen II
CI Games SE has secured a syndicated credit facility of 28.6 million, approximately $32 million, to cover the remaining production, launch, and marketing costs for Lords of the Fallen II. The financing was arranged with Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska, and 80% of it is supported by a guarantee from Polish credit agency KUKE.
Repayment and debt refinancing
The studio said the facility is expected to be repaid from sales of Lords of the Fallen II, which is currently targeted for release in early 2027. The deal also gives CI Games the ability to refinance existing obligations while it focuses on completing the game.
Shareholders and management stance
Marek Tyminski, president of CI Games SE's management board, said the company has secured full financing for the project's launch without issuing new shares. He added that this approach protects shareholder participation in the game's potential success and that the banks' support reflects confidence in the project's quality and commercial prospects.
Tyminski, who is also the company's largest shareholder, said he will retain his holding until the financing matures in August 2027. He attributed the commitment to the strong potential he sees in Lords of the Fallen II.
Publishing context
Earlier this year, CI Games announced the end of its publishing arrangement with Epic Games, under which Epic would have held exclusive PC publishing rights to Lords of the Fallen II. No reason has been given for the termination. With the publisher arrangement no longer in place, CI Games would not need to share revenue from the game with an outside publisher.
