In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Japanese developer Kairosoft has announced that its flagship management simulation, Game Dev Story, is currently free to download on mobile devices.
The promotion is strictly limited to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Users who secure the application during this one-day event will retain permanent access to the title without cost. It should be noted that the Amazon storefront version is not participating in this giveaway and remains priced at $4.99.

Originally a Japanese PC exclusive, Game Dev Story gained international acclaim following its mobile release in 2010. The game challenges players to build a video game development empire from the ground up. Key gameplay mechanics include:
