New Narrative Adventure 'WILL: Follow The Light' Sets Sail on Unreal Engine 5

Published on 02 March, 2026

Tomorrowhead Studio has announced its upcoming debut title, WILL: Follow The Light. This narrative-driven adventure invites players into a first-person experience centered on a perilous journey through stunning northern landscapes. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game aims to deliver a cinematic and visually striking portrayal of isolation and determination.

The story introduces Will, a lighthouse keeper stationed on a remote island. His solitary routine is shattered by an unexpected radio message warning of a disaster back home. With his son missing, Will must embark on a desperate quest aboard his sailing yacht, the Molly. The narrative explores deep themes of familial bonds, specifically the complex relationships between fathers and sons, as players search for answers regarding their missing family members.

Gameplay and Exploration

Gameplay focuses on deep exploration and traversal mechanics designed to immerse players in the environment. Gamers will utilize realistic sailing physics to navigate endless waters and command dog sleds to traverse snowy mountain ranges. The journey spans various distinct locations, including an abandoned island accessible only by sea and a hometown now left in ruins.

The developers have integrated challenging puzzles and environmental storytelling to drive the narrative forward. As players progress, they uncover hidden truths about Will’s past and his relationships with his father and wife. The experience is further enhanced by an original soundtrack that blends experimental textures to match the game's atmospheric tone.
