Nihon Falcom has released its financial report for the first quarter of the fiscal year, covering the period from October to December 2025. The Japanese developer recorded extraordinary year-on-year growth, with revenue climbing 150.7% and operating profit surging by an impressive 670.4%.
The company attributes this financial windfall primarily to the robust sales of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, which launched in September. Beyond direct game sales, the licensing business segment also performed exceptionally well, growing 218.3% compared to the previous year. This spike was fueled by the international release of several entries in the Trails and Ys series.
Looking forward, Nihon Falcom confirmed that it currently has seven titles in active development. Key projects include a sequel, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, and the recently revealed Kyoto Xanadu. The company also outlined its upcoming global release schedule, with Ys X: Proud Nordics set for February 20, 2026, and Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta scheduled for April 2026.
Despite the stellar quarterly results, Nihon Falcom is maintaining a conservative forecast for the full fiscal year. The company stated that it has not revised its projections, citing difficulties in predicting sales figures for Kyoto Xanadu, which is slated for release in the latter half of the fiscal year. The developer expressed uncertainty regarding how the new title will perform commercially.
